The A series Grand Concert models were made from 1979 to 1985. They are unique among the GC models because they have the smallest body of the series. They are closer to the Granada size guitar and are sought because they are easy to play. In the 1960’s Yamaha paid Granada guitar maker Eduardo Ferrer an enormous amount of money to teach Yamaha luthiers how to make the perfect classical guitars. The GC7A was actually built in Taiwan, but handmade by Japanese craftsman. They are used by teachers and professional guitarist.
This guitar had an MSRP of $850.00 in 1981. In today’s dollars adjusted for inflation it would cost $2405.00. At my asking price your getting an excellent guitar at a cheap guitar price.
